Coleco put out a fleet of “home-version” of hit arcade cabinets with blinky, fixed-lighted graphic panels. It was enough that the thing just looked a little bit like what it was supposed to represent. Nobody expected small and mobile games to deliver much of a compelling experience. It was more of a novelty than anything else, a kind of interactive diversion to tide you over until you could get to the real thing again.
